freenet AG – Supervisory Board Chairman and one other member announce their resignation from the board

The Chairman of the freenet AG Supervisory Board, Thorsten Kraemer, yesterday notified the company’s Executive and Supervisory Boards of his decision to resign his mandate on the freenet AG Supervisory Board with effect from the end of this year’s Annual General Meeting on 30 June 2011 for personal reasons. Mr. Thorsten Kraemer has sat on the company’s Supervisory Board since 2007.

Prof. Dr. Helmut Thoma has also announced his resignation from the board with effect from the end of this year’s Annual General Meeting on 30 June 2011. Mr. Prof. Dr. Thoma has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2005 and had also sat on the predecessor companies’ Supervisory Boards since 1998.

The supervisory board, executive board and staff of freenet AG would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Kraemer for his intensive, dedicated work as chairman of the supervisory board. As a bona fide capital market expert, he gave important impulses for the company.

In his 13 years as a supervisory board, Prof. Dr. Helmut Thoma played a formative role in the fates of mobilcom and freenet AG. For this, the freenet group’s executive board, supervisory board and staff owe him a debt of gratitude.
